FHEPS Assistance Temporarily Available

Educate Your Tenants

  • Tenants DO NOT currently need a pending non-payment proceeding to receive rent arrears from FHEPS. This requirement is temporarily waived until at least May 1, 2021.

  • Tenants who are facing economic hardship will be able to apply for FHEPS, a program that can cover up to $9,000.00 in rental arrears.
  • FHEPS may also be able to provide prospective rent payments for qualifying households with at least one minor child and at least one person who is receiving cash assistance.
  • Tenant applicants can present either a rent demand or a letter from their Landlord threatening eviction if rental arrears are not paid.
  • Tenants will also need a rent breakdown from the Landlord
  • Landlords should direct Tenants to the Access HRA Website to apply or they can call 311.
